Check-in: is between 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM. If arriving outside of check-in times, please make arrangements to receive check-in instructions. You may notify us via phone call or text at 541-848-1265. The innkeepers may not be able to greet you, however, a code will be provided to let you in the front door and your room. Please check your text and email for the code, or contact us.
Check-out: 11:00 AM. Due to our cleaning protocols early check-ins and late check outs are not allowed unless approved prior to arrival. Additional rates may apply.
Absolutely NO SMOKING Inside the Inn or on our porches; however designated outdoor smoking areas are available. A cigarette disposable receptacle will be provided. Please do not throw cigarette/cigars in trash bins! A $250 cleaning fee will be charged to the credit card on file if smoke is detected inside a room.
NO PETS or Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) of any kind are allowed. Service animals are welcome. We love our furry and feathered friends, we understand if you want your pet close to you. Pet Boarding facilities are available in the area, and we would be happy to give you a recommendation. Due to allergies of the host, no "well behaved" or hypoallergenic dogs will be allowed in the dining area, so please do not ask.
CHILDREN- Because we are a destination for guests seeking rest and relaxation, we regretfully cannot accept children under 10. However, ages 14-18 are considered adults and do not need prior approval, but must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18. Children ages 10-13 may be allowed if approved by the innkeepers. Please let us know you will be traveling with children or we may not be able to allow your booking.
SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS- We are aware of food allergies and work hard to create a breakfast that will accommodate any dietary needs. However, our menu planned prior, please let us know at least 7 days in advance of your arrival of any dietary restrictions so that we may accommodate you. GF, V, VG, DF diets with other high risk foods are taken into consideration, but not all diets can be accommodated.
OCCUPANCY All rooms are a two guest occupancy-NO exceptions. The River Retreat can accommodate two additional guests, charged at $20 per guest.
Reservations/Cancellations- The Grand Castalian Bed and Breakfast is a family run business where every guest reservation is important to us. We understand that life happens. Travel insurance is available when you book and is highly recommended. If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call at least 7 (seven) days prior to your arrival date to cancel your reservation less a $50 processing fee per room. This $50 processing fee covers our cost of staff and time to rebook. The $50 processing fee also applies to changes to your stay either arriving a day late or leaving a day early that results in a shorter stay. In the event that you must cancel with less than seven (7) days notice, shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for the charge of your entire reservation. When counting "7 days before," you include the day of your reservation at 4pm as the "last day" and count backwards 7 days. As a small business, rebooking a night last minute is difficult, and travel insurance is well worth the small investment for unforeseen events.
The Grand Castalian Inn does not take responsibility for changes to your reservations due to inclement weather, unforeseen changes to travel plans, personal sickness or injury, or family emergencies. No adjustments or refunds will be made to no-shows or late check ins.
If you cancel less than 7 days, you have the option of rebooking your reservation. You will be charged the cost of your first night, but will be able to move the remaining nights to another date. You will be responsible for any difference in rates, taxes, and fees this will incur.
Rates/policies are subject to change and vary during high impact periods and special requests. A 30-day cancellation notice is required on whole house bookings and for some holidays and special events.
If your booking was made through a third-party such as Airbnb, VRBO, or Booking.com, please be advised the third-party has its own policies, and after you book you agree to their cancellation policies. You must go through the third-party to receive a refund. Any changes to your reservation must be made through their site. By booking through our website we can handle your reservation directly.
